If today were the last day of this world before it blew up, how would I spend it? Many indigenous people talk about living each day as if it is your last. I heard it again recently and thought I would think about it while writing this blog posting.
Many thoughts ran through my mind. My family, my friends, memories of times past, regret for it being over, so many things to think about and ponder their value to me. What would I do for the last 24 hours of my time here in this world?
As I mulled it over and over, a structure began to outline itself and with that insight, peace began to flow through my Being. Peace, calmness and a sense of well-being. This is what I would do:
♥ I would go to a place in nature with water and plenty of dirt or sand to write in.
♥ I would write a gratitude list that the world ending would send back to Source.
♥ I would sit in the silence and savor the now moments as they strung into pearls of wisdom expressing this world and the beauty that It and I were together within its evolution.
♥ I would lovingly and joyfully embrace the change I was Becoming.
♥ I would completely surrender to the Moments expanding out into greater Beingness as I said good-bye to the last moment and welcomed the New Being I was birthing.
In Essence I would:
Be the Change
Embrace the Change
Enjoy every moment in every way
Love who I am, who I am becoming and Know that All is Well!
All of this Beauty underneath the sea,
This is the Beauty within You and Me.
I have spent most of my Life searching for what was wrong with me and I found many things. I would list then, work on then, give up on them and then do it all over again. But I have come to realize that I spent no time at all searching for what was Beautiful within me.
As I gazed at the picture above, I thought about how beautiful nature is in all of its colors, moods, and seasons. Then I thought, if my Beloved Source had taken the time to create this beauty in nature, wouldn’t the same beauty be within me? As I spent time in meditation and silent contemplation about the possibilities this line of thinking was opening up, I searched for a way to see this Beauty that might lie within me.
As I was allowing myself to really see and feel the shapes and colors reflected in nature, I began to pull them within my physical body and feel the colors and shapes taking hold within me. I watched as if in a dream as they danced, shifted, merged and then did it all over again. It went on and on and as I gazed upon this Beautiful Happening within Me, I began to feel and see this Beauty as a part of me.
I began to practice this daily and the more I practiced it, the more Beautiful I felt myself to be. The more Beautiful I felt inside, the more I loved myself and the more I was able to open up and share myself with those around me. My intention became for the world to be a more beautiful place to live for it has my inner beauty as part of it.
Take the time, to get to know your inner beauty. Nurture it, love it and then let it out for all the world to see and enjoy. We create this reality from within and together the Beauty we create is breath-taking.
Honesty means to refrain from lying, cheating, or stealing. It is aligned with concepts of fairness, honor, and integrity. However, most of us do not go out into the world with the thought “today I’m going to cheat someone.” What happens is what I call a progressive erosion of integrity. We get into a situation where if we say or do what we think is right, we’ll be ridiculed and lose face or prestige. Therefore we don’t lie, we tell a “little fib” or “white lie.”
In some instances we try to paint a different picture than what really happened by not telling the whole truth. In this case we convince ourselves we didn’t lie, we just didn’t tell the whole truth. We convince ourselves that it is okay, but what we are really doing is being dishonest with ourselves. Witholding the whole truth to paint a different picture than what actually happened is an example of intellectual dishonesty. Dishonesty, no matter the form, always lowers your spiritual vibration and erodes your sense of self.
Integrity is aligning with the truth of who you really are. You are pure spirit, and if you put your awareness on this thought or idea, you will always operate appropriately in any situation. An easy way to align with the energy of integrity is to put your awareness on your heart space and imagine a light. Then imagine a miniature you sitting on a chair…or standing…or dancing in the Inner Light. Check in periodically throughout the day to ensure you are still there.
When you center yourself in the light of your Authentic Self, you step into the truth of who you are. You automatically operate from your deepest truth. You not only act honestly, but you become honesty itself. You become a person of integrity.
